Data Use
This page explains in plain language what is uploaded, how beta footage is processed, and how StuntIQ may use uploaded video internally during beta.
StuntIQ Beta Data Usage Disclosure
Version: 1.0 Effective Date: March 2026 Product Stage: Closed Beta Operator: SkillGrade Labs LLC
1. Overview
This document explains how data collected during the StuntIQ closed beta — including uploaded videos, AI analysis outputs, and usage information — may be used by SkillGrade Labs LLC.
The StuntIQ beta is a data-intensive product development effort. Your participation directly contributes to improving the underlying AI systems. This document is intentionally plain so you understand exactly how your data is used.
2. Data Collected During Beta
When you use StuntIQ during the closed beta, the following data may be collected:
Account and Program Data
- Name, email address, organization name
- Account activity and session logs
Uploaded Videos
- Video files you upload through the platform
- Metadata associated with uploads (skill type, role, minor flag, upload timestamp)
AI-Generated Outputs
- Body pose keypoints extracted from uploaded video (numerical coordinates for detected body positions)
- Athletic role classifications (flyer, base, backspot, etc.)
- Stunt phase labels (preparation, execution, peak, dismount)
- Difficulty score estimates
- Error and safety flag outputs
- Visualization overlays and analysis summaries
Consent Records
- Records of consent checkboxes completed during upload, including the consent text version
Usage and Performance Data
- Page interactions and feature usage patterns
- Upload success and failure events
- Processing times and pipeline performance metrics
- Error logs and diagnostic data
3. How Beta Data Is Used
3.1 Improving AI Models
Uploaded videos and derived AI outputs are a primary input for improving StuntIQ's computer vision and machine learning models.
Specifically:
- Videos with known skill types and roles are used to expand and refine the model's training dataset
- AI outputs from the current pipeline are reviewed internally to identify errors, edge cases, and improvement opportunities
- Pose keypoints and classifications are used to evaluate whether the model detects and labels stunts accurately
- Failure cases — videos where the model underperforms — are studied to improve robustness
Beta data may be used to train future versions of StuntIQ's AI models. This is an explicit purpose of the beta program and a condition of participation.
3.2 Evaluating Feature Performance
Beta data is used to measure whether features work correctly across real-world video conditions.
This includes:
- Evaluating difficulty scoring accuracy across diverse skill types
- Testing error detection thresholds and sensitivity
- Assessing pose estimation accuracy across different camera angles, lighting conditions, and athlete body types
3.3 Internal Testing and Debugging
Videos and processing outputs may be used by the SkillGrade Labs LLC engineering team to:
- Reproduce and diagnose bugs or unexpected behaviors
- Test infrastructure performance under real upload conditions
- Validate pipeline changes before they are deployed
3.4 Product and Feature Development
Aggregated usage patterns and feature interaction data are used to make decisions about:
- Which features to prioritize for further development
- What workflows to simplify or redesign
- Where users encounter confusion or friction
4. What Beta Data Is NOT Used For
- Not sold to third parties. Beta data is not sold, rented, or licensed to external parties.
- Not used for advertising. Beta data is not used for targeted advertising or marketing profiling.
- Not shared publicly. Uploaded videos and AI outputs are not made publicly accessible.
- Not used for athlete identification beyond the platform. Pose and keypoint data is used for sports analysis within the platform only.
5. Data Retention
In the current beta, uploaded videos and derived data remain in active use while the specific video remains active. If a specific video is deleted, or consent is revoked for that specific video, StuntIQ removes the application-managed active data for that video from the product. See our Data Retention Policy for the exact scope.
6. Minor Athlete Data
If uploaded videos contain minor athletes, the same data usage described above applies. SkillGrade Labs LLC does not use footage of minors for purposes outside those described in this document. Program administrators are responsible for ensuring appropriate guardian consent is in place before uploading footage of minors.
